more“Little Rose” Conquers Australia
Crowded rooms and many people leaving empty-handed – this is how screenings of "Little Rose” in Australia look like. "Little Rose” has been gaining recognition not only among audiences but also among the Australian press. The oldest and the most opinion-forming Australian newspaper "The Age” included "Little Rose” among the 10 best films that are currently being presented in Australia. This distinction is worth noticing because the influential reviewer Philippa Hawker considered other numerous productions presented at the film festival in Melbourne. After this recommendation, the interest in "Little Rose” exceeded the most daring expectations of the organisers. "The Age” partnered "Little Rose” up with such movies as: "Inception,”, "Me and Orson Welles,” "Annie Hall” and "Centurion.”
moreMaciej Wojtyszko’s “Święty interes” Coming Soon to Cinemas
"Święty interes” is a funny story of two brothers (Piotr Adamczyk and Adam Woronowicz) who come back to their home village for the funeral of their estranged father. It turns out they have inherited only a derelict shed with an old Warszawa M-20 car. The fate of the car arouses great interest among the village’s residents as, according to an urban legend, it used to belong to Bishop Karol Wojtyła. Convinced of the miraculous and healing power of the vehicle, people want to buy the car from the inheritors. The latter hope that the sale will allow them to leave their financial problems behind.
The film comes into cinemas in Poland on 27 August, 2010.
